Sovereign Kingfisher is committed to resident safety and ensuring that its residents live in well maintained high quality homes. An important element of being a responsible social landlord is also highlighting possible hidden dangers in the homes, such as the risk of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.

For the financial year ending March 2010 Sovereign Kingfisher achieved 100% compliance with the gas regulations. This success has been achieved following the introduction of a new annual Home Health and Safety Check.

Sovereign Kingfisher held its second residents conference at the Hilton Hotel, Basingstoke recently. Feedback from residents has shown it to be a resounding success.

Last July Sovereign Housing Group underwent a rebrand and then rolled out its new brand identity as Sovereign. Kingfisher HVHS Housing Association also amalgamated with Sovereign at that time, joining Sovereign South+West, Sovereign Twynham and Sovereign Vale as Group members.

Children from two of Sovereign Kingfisher’ local supported housing schemes received an egg-stra special surprise this week with an unexpected delivery of Easter eggs.

On Thursday 1 April north Hampshire’s largest housing association, Sovereign Kingfisher, will be having a makeover and be rebranded as Sovereign Kingfisher.

Unfortunately, the Easter event scheduled for South Ham, Basingstoke on 10 April had to be postponed. With the imminent elections on 6 May it was not possible for all the parties involved in the planning of the event, to have been as actively involved as they would have hoped. Sovereign Kingfisher apologise for the disappointment this may have caused anyone who may have turned up on the day. The event has been postponed until June, when there will be an estate-wide event - further publicity and details will be advised nearer the date.

Sovereign Kingfisher ’s Roxburgh House, sheltered housing scheme in Locks Heath are pleased to be supporting the Lions Club of Swanwick at their exhibition event on Saturday 27 February.

Sovereign Kingfisher has hailed as a success its joint working with Hampshire Constabulary to evict a resident from their New Milton home, following a large number of complaints from local residents and high incident’s of anti-social behaviour relating to noise nuisance and violent and threatening behaviour in the local community.
