Putting Brighton Hill in the Picture

Kingfisher staff recently teamed up with pupils of Manor Fields Junior School in Brighton Hill for a photographic competition. The year 4 pupils were embarking on a project looking at life in their community and Kingfisher teamed up with the school to provide pupils with disposable cameras to capture on film their views of the community in which they live.

Wessex Group Scores Top Marks with Investors in People

Wessex Housing Partnership which comprises Kingfisher based in Basingstoke and HVHS Housing Group, based in Winchester, has received group-wide recognition as an Investor in People.

It's Christmas Time in Kempshott

Pupils from Kempshott Junior School will lead Kingfisher residents at Buckingham Court, Buckingham Parade, Kempshott for a morning of traditional Christmas carol singing, in conjunction with St Marks Church.

War Time Memories Relived by Sovereign Kingfisher's Elderly Residents

On Friday 14 November elderly residents from one of Kingfisher ’s sheltered housing schemes were invited to Fairfields Primary School in Council Road, Basingstoke to ‘relive’ their memories from the war years.

Impressive Sales Record with Sovereign Kingfisher's 100th Shared Ownership Home

Kingfisher is bucking the national trend with its sales record, having just sold its 100th shared ownership home at the Sherfield Park housing development, near Sherfield on Loddon, north of Basingstoke.

Jackie Bligh stepped down as Managing Director at HVHS Housing Group on 24 October to take up the post of Chief Executive at Merthyr Valleys Homes in South Wales. Jackie has made a fantastic contribution to HVHS over the last year and we wish her well for the future. We have appointed an interim Managing Director, Heather Bowman, who joined us on 1October. Heather is currently Projects Director at Sovereign and is being seconded from Sovereign to cover the MD post until Kingfisher and HVHS amalgamate next year. Heather joins us with a wealth of experience that includes care, supported, and general needs housing. She has worked at Sovereign since 2001 and prior to that was at Stonham for a number of years.

Queen's Representative for Hampshire Opens New HQ

The Queen’s representative in Hampshire, the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire, Mrs Mary Fagan JP officially opened Kingfisher ’s and Wessex Housing Partnership’s new headquarter offices in Basingstoke on Tuesday 7 October 2008.

 

Housing Named After Popular Alresford Historian

Fourteen 1 and 2 bedroom apartments owned by Basingstoke based Kingfisher Housing Association at Alresford Station in Alresford was named after a well known local businessman and historian.

Wednesday 10 September 2008 at 6.30pm will be the joint Annual General Meeting of Kingfisher , HVHS Housing Group and their parent company Wessex Housing Partnership. The meeting will be held at the Hampshire Court Hotel, Chineham, Basingstoke and residents of Kingfisher and HVHS Housing Group are invited to attend along with other guests.

Local Basingstoke , Kingfisher and its parent company, Wessex Housing Partnership are moving to a larger headquarters building in Basingstoke this month.

School Children Work with Sovereign Kingfisher Elderly Residents

Elderly residents from one of Sovereign Kingfisher ’s sheltered housing schemes are involved in a community arts project called ‘Age to Age’ with pupils from Fairfields Primary School in Council Road, Basingstoke.
