Move with Mutual Exchange
If you are looking to move locally you can view Sovereign Kingfisher’s exchange folder held in reception at Saxon Court. To increase your choices, Sovereign Kingfisher has recently subscribed to the Homeswapper service to assist you with finding a local or national exchange partner.
What is Homeswapper?
Homeswapper is the UK’s largest community of social housing tenants looking to swap homes. Thousands of tenants join every month to find a swap which may be a quicker way of moving to a more suitable property than waiting on the transfer list.
How does it work?
You can join free on-line at www.homeswapper.co.uk. Once you have registered, Sovereign Kingfisher will check your registration and approve it. If you are in arrears or legal action has commenced against you due to a breach of tenancy, your application will be suspended until such time as your circumstances change. If your registration is approved, Homeswapper will notify you of any property matches.
What happens next?
Once you have found a property you like and have viewed it, you will need to complete a mutual exchange application form, available from Customer Services at Saxon Court. You will not be able to exchange without both landlords consent.
To do an exchange you must hold an Assured Tenancy with either a housing association or local authority.
