Who Are We?

•  A group of up to 20 residents representing the interests of all Sovereign Kingfisher residents.

What Is Our Role?

• Providing Sovereign Kingfisher residents with an effective voice.
• Providing an opportunity for residents and leaseholders to be involved in issues affecting their homes and neighbourhoods.
• Providing a creative problem solving approach with staff to deliver high quality housing services.
• Keeping residents informed: Viewpoint is our own newsletter, with 4 editions published each year. Look out for Viewpoint in the Spring.

An update for Residents

The Residents' Committee Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Tuesday 7th September, starting at 7pm at the Red Lion Hotel in Basingstoke. A light buffet and refreshments will be served following the meeting.

As well as the more formal business of the evening, we will have a guest speaker presenting – Gordon Holdcroft, Sovereign Kingfisher’s chairman designate – who will talk about his background in Council and Health Authority director roles, as well as his views on his pending role as chairman of the Housing Association.

Before, during, and after the meeting there will be an opportunity to learn more about the ways in which you can become effectively involved in decision-making, and in influencing the future service provision at Sovereign Kingfisher.  Members of the Residents’ Committee will be on hand to discuss ways in which the interests of all residents remain central to Sovereign Kingfisher’s services.

We very much hope that you will be able to join us on 7 September 2010 at the Red Lion Hotel at 7.00pm.

The next scheduled meeting of the Residents’ Committee will be Thursday 16^th September from 6pm. This evening meeting held is expected to last up to 2 and a half hours, to include time before the formal agenda items for informal issues to be discussed one to one with Committee members and Sovereign Kingfisher staff.  This meeting will include light refreshments at 5.30pm, and will be held at the Sovereign Kingfisher Office, Saxon Court, Sarum Hill, Basingstoke.

All residents are welcome to come to these meetings, as an observer, whether or not they wish to become actively involved in Sovereign Kingfisher. If you would like to attend one or both of these meetings, please contact Martin Littleboy on 01256 302378 or Natalie Thyer on 01256 302372.
